in a word, "yes".

Derek, if you recall, we home school in this home. this morning, Megan and I were in World History class, and at the point of studying WWI. I am an engineer, no student of history. but when they were describing the Treaty of Versailles, I closed the book and told my daughter, "looks like they created Hitler right about here."

in the very next paragraph, they started to explain how this aggressive, vengeful accord had given legs to the hatred of Germans for the rest of Europe, and how Adolf had used that to accumulate power.

you don't need to be Hari Seldon to see that people are predictable, and the more people in the group, the easier it is to plot their coursed in advance. the hard part is to see past your own preconceptions. or should I say "misconceptions:?

we know how many American soldiers are in Afghanistan, despite our government's inability to count. there is no number for the Taliban. roaches are easier to kill because if you CAN get the last one, it would be the last one. Talibanians ( coined that on meself, on the spot, this spot ) are products of spontaneous generation, like they used to think fruit flies were. it is a decision made in the mind of an individual, one mind at a time, and the moniker is but a convenience.

evil is vile, and proliferates without copulation.

or as Paul, I think it was Paul, once wrote, "we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but powers and principalities."

God's blessings upon you and yours.
