Sign of the Messiah’s Return?

I found an interesting post at the blog of Rabbi Lazer Brody. Apparently water is trickling out of the floor near the base of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem:

The Gihon River mentioned in Genesis 2:13 flows under Jerusalem, directly under the Holy Temple Mount, under what today is known as the Dome of the Rock in the Al Aksa mosque. [...] According to Islamic tradition, when the waters of the Gihon begin surfacing under the Dome of the Rock, then the Jewish Messiah is fast on the way, and their downfall is imminent. Soon, very soon, there won’t be any more mosques on the Temple Mount.

In recent months, several witnesses have told about water seeping out of the floor near the base of the Dome of the Rock.

Interesting. But will God’s chosen people recognize the Messiah when He returns?
