Of course, if the scientists referenced in the previous post are correct, this is good news:
Almost all biofuels used today cause more greenhouse gas emissions than conventional fuels if the full emissions costs of producing these “green” fuels are taken into account, two studies being published Thursday have concluded.
What’s really frightening is that governments around the world are being encouraged to enact all manner of restrictive legislation based on this changing, contradictory science. As for me and my house, we’re stocking up on incandescent light bulbs.

About incandescent bulbs–we are already realizing a shortage of those types of lightbulbs here in south New Jersey–we can’t find most sizes of those bulbs, but now there are plenty of those ‘energy saving’ types, that cost more than $5 per bulb, present on the shelves where the incandescent bulbs used to be. I now wish we’d known just how quickly they would move to cut us off at the knees over this, so we could have stocked up on incandescents, ourselves.
