![]()
The final episode of the free podcast audiobook edition of The God Conspiracy is now online!
In this episode: Gruner, Norlock, Stauffer and Vijay visit Tony Harris in the hospital, where he’s reunited with his young son. Bob Moore returns home, and Cindy shares a mysterious note from The Alliance warning them that the Enemy’s eyes are on them now.
In Saint Louis, FBI Agent Joe Unes visits Pastor Ed Harper to extend an official apology from the Bureau. Instead, he stumbles onto startling information about the true nature of Malthus.
And somewhere in Wyoming, near the Yellowstone Caldera, Barney Ison decides that it’s time to head back to Indiana — because there is more work to do.

It was well worth the wait Derek. Nicely done. I enjoyed the book immensely.

The Scriptures say: “Resist the Devil and he will flee.” Not “Resist the Devil and he will melt your brain and turn your compatriots into ash.” I admit that I might be wrong, but I believe we put too much emphasis on the power that demons have, at the trivializing of their influence on culture. I really enjoyed the story up until Thiel’s encounter with Malthus. That scene ruined the whole experience for me. You are a good writer and great reader. Just because i didn’t appreciate the message doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate you. Thank you for this story and the dragon pee one.
Peace, chuck

I appreciate your kind words and you are correct about scripture. I just ask you to bear in mind that Captain Thiel and his team were not Christians. If it had been Barney Ison, Bob Moore, or Pastors Schiebold or Harper in the room with Malthus, things would have been different.
“Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world,” not, “greater are you than he that is in the world.”

Loved the story, but…it just kind of ended. I’m hoping that there will be a sequel.
Overall, the story was very good and fast paced. You brought together an unlikely band of heroes and had a little bit of everything for the audience in the story – government conspiracy, tech, religion, military, etc.
I had a couple of moments in the story where I was unsure as to what had just happened and had to go back. A bit of a pause in the reading between scene changes would have alleviated this confusion for me.
Also, I think character development could be a bit improved for the “non-christians” and christians alike in the story. I couldn’t really sympathize with the heroes (or hate the evil doers) of the story due to lack of their development. This doesn’t mean I didn’t like the story, it just means I didn’t feel like a participant in the story.
Still, overall, great story.
